Charlie O'Leary
Company Founder & Project Lead
Charlie O’Leary, a 3rd generation horticulturist, took the helm at The Pavilion in 2001. Since then Charlie has developed The Pavilion to become one of Ireland’s leading plants and landscapes specialists. Charlie’s integrity, work ethic and experience in adapting challenging briefs into workable solutions is appreciated by our clients. He is uncompromising in his vision to deliver standards of excellence from The Pavilion. In leading the team he instils his belief in each team member that every job is their future reference ensuring everyone strives to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
Cornelia Creedon
General Manager — The Pavilion Garden Centre
Cornelia joined the team at The Pavilion in 2003. During this time Cornelia has gained specialist experience in plant husbandry & propagation, accumulating an enviable level of horticultural knowledge. Over the years, Cornelia has developed relationships with key growers across Europe and has an in-depth knowledge of the supply chain as it evolves throughout the year. This ensures the most successful outcomes for our clients in matching the best plants for each unique project. She leads a team of horticulturists and customer service staff at The Pavilion. Cornelia lives in Toomsbridge in Cork.
Jack Hedigan
Landscaping Foreman
Jack is a highly experienced horticulturist with almost two decades of landscaping experience. Upon graduating from Kildalton Horticultural College, Jack moved to The Hamptons, New York where he honed his skills with Summerhill Landscapes. Since joining The Pavilion in 2008, Jack has led various high profile projects, many of which have received National Awards of Excellence from the Association of Landscape Contractors in Ireland. With his rugby boots firmly left on the hook, he now lives in Carrigaline, Co. Cork with his wife and two daughters.
Rachel Cassidy
Maintenance Team Manager & Plants Specialist
Rachel began life at The Pavilion in 2016 working as a plants specialist. Inspired by designers such as Charlotte Rowe, Piet Oudolf, Mary Reynolds, June Blake and Clyde Nichols, Rachel likes to use naturalistic planting to bring a touch of the wild into urban settings. Having grown up in London, it was through visits to gardens such as Kensington and Kew Gardens that Rachel developed her fascination with plants. Rachel has a Diploma in Horticulture from GMIT, and is currently adding to her qualifications in Garden Design.
Danny Doody
Maintenance Specialist
Danny was the very first person to join The Pavilion in 2001. Danny is very passionate about plants and will travel annually to garden shows throughout Europe, studying and observing trends in gardening and garden design. Danny’s key focus is the ongoing maintaining and care of the gardens of our key customers where we can always depend on him to deliver outstanding results for our clients. Danny lives near Ballygarvan with his family.
Bernard Hanley
Quantity Surveyor, MRICS MSCSI MCInstCES
Bernard Hanley established HQS Quantity Surveyors in 2011 with the aim of delivering high quality client orientated cost consultancy services in Cork. HQS has over 30 years’ experience in the industry including commercial and residential projects and well as working with both the public and private sector. His experience and partnership with The Pavilion allows us to offer our clients an efficient high quality services that deliver on time and on budget.
Ryan Hurley - ASM Group
Health & Safety Consultant Msc HSE, HDip SHWW, DENVSP, CMIOSH
Ryan is a determined, reliable, enthusiastic individual working in the Health and Safety sector since 1998. Ryan has gained highly transferable skills through extensive experience working with numerous clients and contractors which include people management, communication and problem solving. He has a proven track record in developing and implementing workplace safety standards to ISO 9001 / 18001& Safe T Cert standard. Ryan works with The Pavilion on behalf of The ASM Group, an independent firm of health and safety professionals established in 2003.
