“Pinus sylvestris Watereri is a slow growing, compact cultivar of Pinus sylvestris. It reaches a maximum height of 3-6m, with it usually growing broader rather than extending its height. Due to the slow growing nature of the Pinus sylvestris Watereri, it is a tree that is ideal for being pruned rendering it excellently suited for shaping, for example it lends itself to creating Bonsai specimens. The Pinus sylvestris Watereri offers interest throughout the seasons with the clusters of small cones amongst the stiff and twisted steel blue coloured needles. A striking characteristic is the orange-brown bark that later turns greyish brown.”
