Description
Multistem trees will have two or more main stems arising from or near to ground level growing from one root system. They combine elements of both trees and shrubs bringing a sense of openness yet filling their space from ground level up, offering a larger foliage mass compared to standard trees.
Multistem trees will provide screening and shade while adding real structural impact with decorative stems and bark. A prime example is the Betula utilis Jacquemontii which provides a great feature throughout the winter.
